Psychosocial Support

Meeting the psychosocial needs of a child involves caring for their emotional and social well-being. Our psychosocial support department consists of qualified, experienced and dedicated social workers.

Loxion Mobile Library is a children’s book machine that travels all around our disadvantaged communities surrounding Vrygrond. LML was established in 2020 during the rise of Covid-19 in SA.
We aim to improve children’s literacy skills, vocabulary, language development and reading for meaning and fun experience.
LML is the leading Literature authority in this community, as we are serving 250 children on a weekly basis. We cater for children from preschool to Grade 7.

The Vrygrond Special needs Foundation was founded by the Vrygrond Community development forum, this is a day care Centre for children and elderly living with disability, the Community Development Forum saw a need that our people living with disability are not catered for in existing organisations.
